Battle of the Bands

We are looking for bands to take part in the Battle of the Bands which will take place on the Friday night. The winning band will get a recording day at Broadwater Studios in Gateshead. As one of the UK’s top Christian bands, Yfriday have graced many of the worlds’ largest stages, with performances full of passion and energy, sweeping the crowd away on infectious tunes of power and intimacy. Mark RitchieMark Ritchie – Evening Speaker
We are pleased to welcome back Mark Ritchie to Harvest this year. Mark Ritchie is a passionate Scotsman who has told his stories all over the world. Through his humour and communication he is both entertaining and thought provoking.

Mark has had thousands of speaking engagements at conferences, towns, cities, and football stadiums all over the UK, and internationally.  Mark has recently developed a one-man show, which mixes his unique humour with the Gospel message.  His stories are interlaced with humour and interaction that motivate people in their personal, spiritual, and working lives.

People have described Mark as refreshing, humorous, passionate, relevant, creative, and dynamic. Mark is based in Nottingham with his wife Tamzin, their son Jordan and daughter Keziah.

Andy Kind - Comedian
Andy has been on the comedy circuit since 2005. He has performed all over the country, winning awards and acclaim as he goes.

Described by BBC Staffs as ‘A star’, and by XS Malarkey as ‘excellent, delightful and charming’, Andy uses his love of life as the foundation which underpins all his comedy, bringing a joyous energy and enthusiasm to any stage – taking pleasure in everything and everyone! Combining the subject matter and his super-strong stage presence, Andy has found a unique and fascinating voice to his comedy. In short, you have a very exciting – and excited – young comedian, and one of the most promising MC’s in the country.

Bible Study and Evening Speaker
Andy Frost is a 29-year old, surf-obsessed, movie loving, bible reading, globe trotting Londoner. He works for SJI and is passionate about seeing how the Church can re-connect with society and culture. He loves dreaming big and pioneering new initiatives. He has co-authored two books, Destiny and Freestyle. Over the past five years, he has developed a variety of mission initiatives including dawn patrol and road trip, as well as playing a key role in Soul in the City South-west. His recent big projects include Thirst for Life and Thoughts Magazine.

He preaches and speaks around the country (and occasionally overseas) in a variety of contexts from national events (such as Autumn Soul, Living Waters, Firm Foundations) to University Christian Unions to evangelistic events in night clubs and skate parks.

Dependance is a Christian Rap Dance and Theatre Company based in the North East of England setup in 1998 by Youth for Christ North East. The company offers a variety of creative RE lessons, performing arts workshops, and a live performance of their latest music to secondary schools and youth events.
